MIXING BUSINESS WITH WELLBEING AND LEISURE WITH ALISON MORGAN, FOUNDER OF RELAUNCHER

Alison Morgan is one of Australia’s leading Business Coaches, specialising in helping Health, Wellness, Beauty and Lifestyle businesses grow their brand, profile and sales.

What makes your business coaching unique compared to others in the industry?

I’ve been 1:1 Private Business Coaching for close to seven years. During this time, the way we launch, market and evolve a business is quite different to what it was several years ago. Having been through the evolution of business building and Marketing; along with my previous experience in Corporate Marketing, I’m able to very quickly determine what individual businesses need to do to move forwards.

My approach is very tailored, quick thinking, results driven and suited to each individual.

What inspired you to start Relauncher?

Having had two boys close together, I knew I didn’t want to go back into the corporate scene. The puzzle was working out what I would do. I knew I wanted. to start a business, however I was unsure what it would be or even where to start….. Fast forward eight years, I now have two businesses – Relauncher and Sticky Studio.

How do you personally find work/life balance? Do you think there is such thing as work/life balance?

I find constant snippets throughout my day to do the things I love. This includes exercise (at 5am via an app), breaks between coaching sessions (15 minute power walks outside), catching up with friends (5 minute chats at events) and time with my family. My days are incredibly long, often not getting out of coaching sessions until 8pm after having been at my desk by 7:30am – however I’ve crafted my business to dip in and out of it. To be able to pick the boys up from sport in amongst it all and all those kinds of things. I wouldn’t have it any other way!

What have you found to be the biggest/most common problems/issues experienced by small business owners?

The biggest hurdle both start-ups and highly successful businesses face is time. There are ways for getting around this though, which I’ll talk about at the retreat.

For health and wellness businesses in particular, what do you think is the key strategy to help them thrive at their best online and offline?

Make sure they are not a ‘me too’ business. It’s a very crowded space – so it’s key to create a business which is unique and also in demand. A 3D approach is also required with a Marketing Strategy, which sets them apart from competitors.

What is your morning ritual?

I’m up at 5am 7 days a week to exercise using the Sam Wood App (28 minute workouts). I’m then taking the boys to school and at my desk by 7:30am.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

I live in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney along the beach, so I absolutely love regular walks along the coastline. The Sydney beach coastline is absolutely stunning.
